BEHIND THE LIGHTS

The project BEHIND THE LIGHTS, created in 2024, was photographed during the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

The series focuses on women from the film industry — not only actresses, but also producers and directors — who stepped in front of the camera with trust in the author’s vision. It captures them in spaces just beyond the glow of the spotlight.

This shadowed space, just behind the source of light, becomes a place of encounter — with something more personal, less visible. Rather than seeking the obvious, Bet Orten turns towards what is not immediately beautiful, but carries a story.
